A little about the postprocessing here... I think you overdid the eyes a bit - you need to turn up the contrast as well, when you're brightening it up, cause otherwise they get this 'foggy' look as they do now. It's too bad that the white top of his head is completely burnt out. Unless it was completely overexposed in the original shot, you should try darkening that area, cause bright spots like that really aren't too pretty ;) And finally, the vignetting... You used a black layer, right? Try using the background-layer instead, or a mix of the two, and it'll give you a less fake-looking vignetting :)

But, you know, when all comes to all, you did a pretty damn good job for a first! The guy you found is cool is as hell, with his fluffy hair and that fun expression on his face : )

And one last thing... I don't wanna sound full of myself, but are these portraits by any chance inspired by me? :)
